Alma Holl Kinnard, 83 of Vermilion, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Kingston of Vermilion. She was born July 22, 1925 in Rotenburg a. d. Fulta, Germany. She had lived in Pittsburgh, PA, Norfolk, VA, Berlin Heights and Vermilion. Alma graduated from Langley High School in Pittsburgh. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Vermilion, and enjoyed gardening and quilting. She loved being a mom. Survivors include sons, George (Guenn) Kinnard of Willoughby Hills, John (Darlica) Bruce Kinnard of Villa Ridge, MO, Jeff (Tia) Kinnard of Las Vegas; daughters, Deborah (James) Bartelheim of Holgate, OH, Ann (Wayne) Schafer of Huron, Holly (Lee) Shrader of Vermilion ; 22 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren ; brother, John (Chookie) Holl of Wellford , SC; sisters in law, Audrey Kinnard of Huron and Mary Jo Holl of Pittsburgh, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Wilhelm Stephan and Maria (nee Ruhl) Holl; husband, George Robb Kinnard; son, Wayne Gavin Kinnard; brother George Holl, sister, Ann Shaw and grandsons, J.R. Schafer and Jimmy Bartelheim Friends may call Monday, June 29, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, 15617 Mason Road, Vermilion, Ohio. The Reverend Dr. Carl Fry will officiate.
