Amelia "Amy" Jane Pryor (nee Schoppelrey), 89, of Vermilion, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at after a sudden illness. She was born December 8, 1922 in Dellroy, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 60 years moving from Canton, OH. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermilion and had been a member of the Brownhelm Congregational Church. She was also a member of the Sit and Stitch group where she enjoyed quilting. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (James) Harmon of Milford, OH; sons, Thomas (Sherrill Evenson) Pryor of Lake Whales, FL and Dan Pryor of Vermilion; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren; brother Richard Schoppelrey of Ravenna, OH; and sister, Jenny Scott of Bradenton, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earl Pryor in 1995; parents, Albert and Edna (nee Rittenhouse) Schoppelrey; daughter in law, Bonnie Pryor; brothers, Perry and Edward Schoppelrey; and sisters, Viola Beadnel and Ruth Kenwood-Hunt. The family will receive friends on Monday, January, 30, 2012 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 3747 Liberty Ave., Vermilion, OH. The Reverend Mark Bogen will officiate. Private inurnment will take place at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion, at a later date.
