Christopher John Kincaid, 46, of Mentor, died Friday, October 14, 2011 at his home following a sudden illness. He was born March 31, 1965 in Bay Village, Ohio, he had been a Mentor resident for the past 4 years, moving from Salem, Wisconsin. He was raised in Vermilion and graduated from Vermilion High School in 1983. Following graduation he joined the United States Airforce and served during Desert Storm. For the past 18 years, Christopher was employed by Phillips as a Nuclear technology Products engineer where he was on the design team for Pet Scan and MRI machines. He also traveled internationally installing these machines. He was a member of the Amherst Eagles and enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, playing cards, snow skiing, and bowling on the Phillips Wednesday night league. He also enjoyed diving earning his Master Diver certificate. He is survived by his parents, Hubert "Tex" and Ruth (nee Viczulis) Kincaid of Mansfield; son, Christopher Nathaniel (Jill Wiloff) Kincaid of Chicago, IL; step daughters, Meaghan L Stichauf and Katie M. Stichauf both of Salem, Wisconsin; brother, Jeffrey (Karen) Kincaid of Menomonie, Wisconsin; sister, Michele (Tim) Frost of Bucyrus, Ohio; nieces and nephews: Katie and Billy Benedict, Sara and Nick Salsgiver, Megan and Jeremy Bodine, Kayla and Michael Bodine, and Tyler Kincaid; 2 great nieces Cali Weible and Madison Bodine and best friends Tony and Colleen Rosa. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 4 until the time of funeral services at 7 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South Street Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will begin with military honors at 7pm conducted by the Vermilion Veterans Council and Pastor Jamie Stewart will be officiating the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to a Gulf War Veterans association of your choice.
