Curtis Carter

Curtis A. Carter, 51 of Vermilion, died Sunday, June 4, 2006 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born July 14, 1954 in Bellevue and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 21 years moving from Norwalk. He worked on the assembly line at Ford Motor Co., Lorain for 29 years and recently moved to the Avon Lake Plant. He was a member of the Thunderbird and Cougar Association of America, Norwalk Raceway, and the fantasy football League of Sandusky. He enjoyed drag racing, playing the guitar, and spending time with his grandson. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Marjorie Carter; son, Orrie Carter of Vermilion; daughter, Angela Carter of Vermilion; 2 grandsons; brothers, David Carter of Sandusky, Cliff Brumbaugh of Green Springs, Chuck Artino of Northwood and Robert Artino of Sandusky; mother, Joan R. Artino (nee Palmer), Sandusky; sister, Jody Gibson of Sandusky, many step brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his father, George Carter. Friends may call Wednesday June 7, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St., Vermilion. Private services will be held.
