Picture by e-mail Daniel Edward Ott, 31, of Burton, died Friday, May 26, 2006 at his home as a result of a violent crime He was born April 17, 1975 in Amherst lived in Vermilion most of his life before moving to Burton 3 years ago. He worked as Head Grower and manager for Urban Growers in Burton for the last 3 years. He had worked for Green Circle Growers for 10 years. He was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He graduated from Vermilion High School and attended many seminars on horiculture. He enjoyed travel, movies and going to Cedar Point. He was the cherished son of Leroy and Linda (nee Jacob) Ott of Vermilion; beloved brother of Kimberly Huffman of Huron; paternal grandson of Esther Ott of Sandusky; uncle of 4 nieces and 1 nephew; nephew of several aunts and uncles and companion of Mary Ann Ricker of Burton. Preceding him in death were his brother, Richard; paternal grandfather, William Ott and maternal grandparents, William and Hazel Jacob. Friends may call Monday, May 29, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. followed by a noon Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Father Jim Holmer, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Amherst.
