Debra Ann Leshinski

Debra Ann Leshinski, 47, of Toledo, died suddenly Friday, February 11, 2011 at her home after a lengthy illness. Debra was born March 19, 1963 in Elyria, OH and had been a Toledo resident for the past 25 years moving from Vermilion. She graduated from Vermilion High School and Toledo University. Debra worked as a Financial Secretary for Omni Source, a recycling factory in Toledo where she managed the accounting for various sites. Debra enjoyed volunteering her time reading to children and working in various homeless shelters. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting, animals, doing stain glass work with her mother, and farming with her father. She had a love for music passed down to her from her grandfather Don Leshinski and a love of art from her grandmother Melba "Poody". Debra was extremely family oriented and nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her family. She is survived by her parents, Ronald and Jan (nee Gorbach) Leshinski; sisters: Denise (Bill) Ross of Columbus, OH, Doreen Collins of Monument, CO, Dianne Leshinski of Tucson, AZ, and Sarah Schaffer of Anderson, SC; brothers, Ron F. Leshinski of Huston, TX and Rich Timko of Orlando, FL; maternal grandmother, Melba Walker of Vermilion; nieces: Rachael, Sarah, and Leah Collins; and a nephew, Stephen Tooker. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dominic Leshinski and Mary B. (nee Gima) Timko; maternal grandfather, Myron Wudarski; and step- maternal grandfather, Richard Gorbach. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 from 11:00 am until the time of a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio.
