Dorothy N. Flazynski

Dorothy N. Flazynski, 76, of Sheffield Village, died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at the family home in Sheffield Village after a short illness. She was born August 27, 1929 in Cleveland and had lived in Sheffield Village for 51 years. She worked as a receptionist and Senior Citizen Assistant for over 25 years at the Lorain Community Action Agency and Office on Aging. She was a member of St Teresa Church in Sheffield Village where she had been a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was active in the Royal Canadian Legion and for 20 years had been in the Drill Team. She enjoyed ceramics, legion activities, traveling and her family. Survivors include her daughters, Susan Haller of Kernersville, NC Natasha Flazynski of Lakewood, Sharon Riegelsberger of Avon Lake; son, Bruce Flazynski of Oberlin; 9 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild and a brother, Glenn Gutwirth of Florida. Preceding her in death were her husband, Alvin Flazynski in 2002 and her parents, Al and Agnes (nee Krocker) Gutwirth. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Humphrey Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Ave. Lorain. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 1878 Abbe Road, Sheffield Village, Ohio 44054.
