Freda Bailey

Freda Bailey (nee Canterbury), 64 of Vermilion, died Tuesday, August 12, 2003, at EMH Regional Health Center, Elyria, after a sudden illness. She was born September 8, 1938 in Lenore, West Virginia. Freda lived in the Vermilion/Lorain area for 43 years. She was a home maker and enjoyed shopping and her children and grandchildren. Freda was a member of Vermilion Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Kenneth D. Bailey; daughters, Dorothy Nazelrod of Vermilion, OH, Deborah Smith of Lexington, OH, and Terri Schmidt of Brimingham, OH; son, Michael Bailey of Hammondsville, OH; brother, Freddie Canterbury of Vermilion, OH; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Preceding her in death were her parents, Gilbert and Frankie (Bryant) Canterbury, and 3 sisters, Fern, Dorothy and Betty Canterbury. Friends may call Thursday, August 14, 2003 from 6 - 9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Friday, August 15, 2003, at 11:00 am with Mark Weaver, minister of the Vermilion Church of Christ, officiating.
