Helen Patricia Rosenberger (nee Smith), 74, of Vermilion, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Regency Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Helen was born on August 7, 1949, in Kittanning, PA. She had been a beloved resident of Vermilion for the past 49 years, having moved from Worthington, PA.
Helen worked as a lunch aid at Vermilion High School before dedicating many years to Convenience Deli and Grocery in Vermilion until her retirement in 2017.
She enjoyed playing bingo, collecting Boyd Bears and Longaberger baskets, traveling with her husband, and serving as a Girl Scout Leader. Her greatest love was her family, and she cherished time spent with them.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Gaiser; stepson, Thomas Rosenberger; stepdaughter, Brenda McCleary; her cherished grandchildren, Arthur Mead, Krystal (Sam) McMillen, Joshua Scheeres, Curtis (Bailey) Moyer, and Chad Rosenberger; and her loved great-grandchildren, Abree, Ayden, Zavia, Arthur II, Gabriel, and Dillon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edwin Rosenberger; her parents, Claud and Mildred (nee Edgington) Smith; her sister, Cindy (Jim) Bowser; and her grandson, Colton Moyer.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a service following at 3:00 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate.
