James Paul Warden of Vermilion died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 at Kingston of Vermilion after a 35 year struggle with MS. Born August 8, 1948 in Elyria he had been a resident of Kingston of Vermilion, where he was cared for lovingly for the past 25 years. He graduated from Elyria High School in 1966. James worked for the Elyria Chronicle Telegram as a color lithographer. He loved photography and had his own dark room. He enjoyed fishing in Lake Erie and playing the guitar. He participated in the Ohio 5th Volunteer Infantry Civil War Reenactment at Greenfield Village and Gettysburg with his brother, Tim. He also volunteered at the Lucy Idol Center, Vermilion. Survivors include 2 sons, Christopher (Lisa) Warden and Joseph (Amy) Warden, both of Windsor, SC; grandchildren, twins, Kylee and Jaimee Warden, and grandsons Matthew and Dakota Warden; brothers, William (Marie) Warden of Vermilion and Tim (Laurie) Warden of Mt. Desert Maine; sister, Mary Ellen Warden and her husband, David Hertz, Mt. Kisco, NY; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Ruth E. (nee Jones) Warden. Friends may call Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 from 10-11am at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Memorial services will be Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. The Chaplain Mark Telepak, Crossroads Hospice Chaplain, will officiate.
