James W."Willie" Hatch, 59 of Jensen Beach, FL, formerly of Vermilion, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart, FL, after a lengthy illness. He was born January 20, 1949 in Memphis, TN and has been a Lorain and Vermilion resident for the past 47 years before moving to Jensen Beach, FL 6 years ago. He worked as the Press Room Production Manager for the Lorain Journal for 26 years retiring in 1992. Willie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermilion, the Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, Elk Lodge, Moose Lodge, and the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Candace "Candy" Hatch (nee Heading); daughters, Heather Hatch of Port St. Lucie, FL and Jennifer and James Robertson of Taylorsville, KY; grandsons, Jesse James Robertson and William Lee Hatch-Robertson; brother, Raymond Edward Hatch of Sheffield; and sister, Martha Brownell of Massapequa, NY. Preceding him in death were his parents, Raymond and Ruby Louise (nee Kirby) Hatch, and a grandson, James Allen Hatch. Friends may call Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 from 6-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. A memorial services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church 3747 Liberty Ave. Vermilion, Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at 10:30 am with the Rev. Terry Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
