Jerald Albert Osler, 61, of Vermilion, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at his home following a short illness. He was born March 1, 1946 in Pasadena, CA, was raised in Nebraska and moved to Vermilion in 1965. He worked as a lineman and relief man for Ford Motor, Lorain. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Hastings, Nebraska. He had been a body builder, enjoyed spending time with his children, riding his motorcycle, watching college football, and was a Corn Huskers fan. Survivors include daughters, Teresa Sanner-Fecto of Vermilion , Shannon Osler of Grand Island, Nebraska; son, Anthony "Tony" Osler of Doniphan, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Reynolds of Grand Island, Nebraska and Barb Wilde of Liberty , TX; and a brother, Lawrence Osler of Grand Island, Nebraska. Preceding him in death were his parents, Clarence and Irene (nee DeMary) Osler. A memorial service will be held, Friday, December 14, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Pastor Dan Fonseca of the Harbourtown Community Church, will officiate.
