Laura J. Joseph (nee Sedensky), 53, of Vermilion, died Monday, March 7, 2011 at Oak Hills Nursing Center after a short illness. She was born February 12, 1958 in Amherst and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 20 years moving from North Ridgeville and Elyria. Laura graduated from Elyria West in 1976. She worked at Giant Eagle in Vermilion as a cashier for 17 years and had also worked at the Bob Evans in Elyria and Westlake prior to starting at Giant Eagle. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors camping and fishing. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Mark Joseph; mother, Elizabeth (nee Takacs) Sedensky; sons, Glen Joseph of Vermilion and Steve Joseph of Vermilion; granddaughters, Delilah and Alexis Joseph; and sisters, Cami Bohrer of Ashland, Beth Koch of Jamestown, OH, and Julie Golias of Chardon, OH. She was preceded in death by her father, Stephan Sedensky The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion Ohio. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Father James R. Ols, pastor of St. Vincent De Paul Church, Elyria, will officiate.
