Lauretta Mae Caire

Lauretta "Lorie" Mae Caire, 74 of Vermilion, sent to rest Saturday, September 26, 2009 at her home after a long struggle with cancer. She was born April 19, 1935 in West Richfield, OH and has been a Vermilion resident since 1953. She was self employed as a sales representative for Avon. She had also worked at McGarvey's Restaurant in Vermilion for 25 years and had been a cook at the Compass House in Lorain. Lorie was a 30 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous and enjoyed crocheting, painting, cooking, and fishing. Her true passion was putting other people first by lending a helping hand. Survivors include her husband of 40 years Craig R. Caire; daughter, Christy Jacobs-Gehring and her husband Rob of Huron; son, William " Bill" Vick of Largo, FL; and grandchildren: John Schellhouse, Shauna (Schellhouse) Hill and her husband Thomas, Michael Sebo and his wife Ashley, Matthew Jacobs, and Destiny Vick. Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Lelia (nee Cook) Wisnieski , and daughters, Victoria "Vicky" Vick in 1984 and Sandra Kiss in 2006. Friends may call Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio where there will be an AA service at 7:30 pm. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 10 am with Pastor Rich Henry officiating.
