Lucinda M. Allen

Lucinda M. Allen (nee Kyer), 68, of Lorain, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Kingston of Vermilion. She was born June 9, 1952 in Elyria, OH. She had been a life long resident of Lorain county. Lucinda graduated from the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing with an Associates Degree and Worked as a LPN in nursing homes and private duty in homes for many years retiring in 1992. She was a member of Family Fellowship Church in Amherst . She is survived by her husband, John Allen of Lorain; son, Noel (Lenny) McDoniel of Vermilion, OH and daughter, Tracy (Gary) Carter of Nunnelly, TN; step-sons Cory and Jacob Allen, both of Lorain; brothers, Mick (Bonnie) Kyer of Litchfield and Arden (Norma) Kyer of Grafton; sisters, Susan Lowther of Lorain and Karen (Gail) Moore of Vermilion; daughter-in-law, Jen McDoniel of Hudson, FL as well as many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Hannah; son Billy McDoniel; brothers, Patrick and Thomas Kyer; parents, Delbert Kyer and Marjorie Deitrich; Friends and family who want to come are welcome to attend, but due to Covid-19, we are asking that people be careful to maintain social distancing, wear masks, and refrain from embracing. The family will receive friends at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion, Ohio on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 1:00PM until 3:00Pm with services following at 3:00PM.
