Marie Kathryn Rhodes

Marie Kathryn Rhodes (nee Evans), 92, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at New Life Hospice after a 9 year illness. Marie was born August 3, 1919 in Baltimore, MD. She had been a Vermilion resident since 1938. She enjoyed knitting and reading. She is survived by her son, Robert Rhodes of Vermilion; daughter, Margaret Rhodes of Vermilion; grandson, Shane Rhodes of Louisville, KY; and 4 great grandsons, Jace and Josh Stowers both of Vermilion and Justin and Matthew Rhodes of Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Anna (nee Snyder) Evans, her husband, Benton W. Rhodes, 1991; granddaughter, Melissa Rhodes Stowers and her sisters Alice Smith, Josephine Upp, Dorothy Evans and Mary Jane Evans.. Private family services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
