Marjorie E. Sniezek (nee Siebert ), 88, of Lorain, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, Lorain after a lengthy illness. Marjorie was born September 6, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph and Catherine (nee Lynch) Siebert. She resided in Glassboro, NJ for 30 years and moved to Lorain in 1956. She graduated from Glassboro High School and attended business college in Camden, NJ. . Marjorie was employed at the Naval Aviation Supply Depot, and Air Force Procurement Office in Philadelphia. After moving to Lorain she was employed by the Thew Shovel Co. for 25 years as a secretary retiring from there in 1982. She was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish (formerly St. John Roman Catholic Church) and its Altar & Rosary Society. Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her church family. She is survived by her sister Joan Meyers of Clearwater, FL; nieces Kathleen Kitchener, Nancy Hewel, and nephew Kenneth Meyers all of Clearwater. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Sniezek in 1993. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 4th from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Thursday morning at 9:30 A.M followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M.at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish.The Reverend Fr. John Retar will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions in Marjorie's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O.
