Mildred Anne Brogoch (nee Zadnik), 86, of Vermilion, died Monday, November 15, 2010 at her home after a lengthy illness. Born May 13, 1924 in Cleveland, OH she had been a Vermilion resident for the past 13 years moving from Mayfield Hts. Mildred worked for General Electric as a marketing office secretary for 23 years retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion where she had been active in the Altar Rosary Society; Neapolitans Club through General Electric, and SDZ Honor Guard. Mildred enjoyed bowling and was a gifted painter especially painting with oils and water colors. Survivors include her husband of 63 years Anthony Brogoch; daughter, Diane (Frank) Laudonia of Vermilion; son, Gary (Barbara) Brogoch of Shanghai, China; and 4 grandchildren: Carla and Laura Brogoch and Sara and Megan Laudonia. She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Bubis; parents, Anton and Mary (nee Virant) Zadnik; brother, Anthony Zadnik; and sister, Mary Zalokar. Friends may call Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 11:00 am until the time of a prayer service at 12:30 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH. The Reverend Ronald Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. The family suggests memorial contributions to Stein Hospice 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky, OH 44870.
