Nancy May Phillips (nee Heller), 56, of Vermilion, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at her home following a brief illness. She was born May 5, 1960 in Amherst and had been a life long Vermilion resident outside of living in Kipton for 10 years. Nancy worked as a cashier at WalMart in Oberlin and was previously employed by Quebecor in Oberlin. She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Amherst and enjoyed taking care of people and spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She is survived by her parents, Paul and Doris (nee Hulley) Heller; sons, Steven Phillips of Columbus and Joseph Phillips at home; daughter, Melissa Phillips of Norwalk; grandson, Merrick Webb; brothers, Lewis (Deborah) Heller of Amherst, Michael (Brenda) Heller of Lorain, Thomas (Michele) Heller of Wakeman, and Daniel (Angie) Heller of Wakeman; sisters, Catherine (James) Mracek of Orwell, Paula (Greg) Dudek of North Ridgeville, Brenda Heller (Rick Burns) of Elyria, and Julie Cottrell of Rochester Hills, MI; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 24, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be Friday, November 25, 2016 at 9:00 am at the funeral home. Chaplain Mark Telepak will officiate. Interment will follow at Rugby Cemetery.
