Pauline Farley (nee Hall), 73, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Pauline was born April 16, 1943 in Colson, KY. She had been a Vermilion resident since 1972 moving from Lorain. She was a bus driver for the Vermilion School District where she transported the handicapped students. Pauline had served as president of OAPSE. She was a member of Green Pastures Baptist Church in Oberlin. She was a life member of AMVETS Post 22 Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary Post 7576 and the American Legion Post 397 Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling and her family. She spent her winters in Dade City, FL. She is survived by her daughter, Kayetta ( Mike) Atkinson of Vermilion; sons, Delmar (Pam) Sergent of Vermilion and Samuel Farley of Amherst, grandchildren, Brittany (Brandon) Marks and Mike Atkinson II, Christy (Travis ) Braden, Dale (Jacqueline) Sergent; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Mary) Hall and Luther "Buddy" Hall, both of Thorton, KY, and sisters, Doris Lucas of Oberlin, and Donna (Charles) Burton of Amherst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Farley in 2000; her parents, Alex and Ruby (nee Sergent) Hall, a grandson, Sean Atkinson, and a brother, Glenn "Red" Hall. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 11, 2016, from 2 to 4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at 11 AM at the funeral home with the Reverend Bill Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
