Richard Alan Kaiser, "Rick", 59, of Vermilion, died Friday, June 1, 2007 at Community Health Partners after a lengthy illness. Born in Amherst, Ohio he had lived in Lorain,Amherst and Vermilion. He was working at the Amherst Turnpike Service Station in the diesel fuel booth. He had been a teacher at Midview Middle School where he taught Math and Social Studies. He was also assitant coach for football and wrestling. He was a graduate of Ohio Northern University and enjoyed baseball. He is survived by his daughter, Colleen Upton, Heath, Ohio, 3 sons, Ryan Zalar, Newark, Ohio, Private Jason Kaiser, Johnstown, Ohio and Sgt. Adam Kaiser, Fort Campbell, KY; 7 grandchildren and 2 sisters, Shannon Kaiser-Jewell, Bay Village and Gayle McMasters, Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, John James and Corinne L (nee Woodings) Kaiser and 2 grandchildren, Kiersten and Mary Lou Kaiser. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Ohio at Grand Streets, Vermilion at 11 a.m. The Reverend William Seith will officiate.
