Rodney Dean Pinter Jr., 41, of Vermilion, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He was born March 6, 1973 in Amherst, OH, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 18 years moving from Sheffield Twp. Rodney worked for Lake Terminal Railroad doing track maintenance for 7years. Rodney enjoyed golfing, turkey shoots, carpentry, and doing body work on cars. He also enjoyed inviting family and friends over to his home for picnics and bonfires. He is survived by his daughter, Riley Pinter of Grafton; parents, Rodney Sr. and Jane (nee Hansen) Pinter of Vermilion; brother, Joe (Courtney Angney)Pinter; step-son, Andrew Contreras of KY; and maternal grandmother, Elsie Hansen of Vermilion. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Hansen; paternal grandparents, William Pinter and Julia Mercer; and step-son, Brandon Contreras. There will be a celebrating of Rodney's life at German's Villa, 3330 Liberty Ave., Vermilion on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at 5:00 pm The family suggests memorial contributions to any FirstMerit Bank, In Memory of Rodney Dean Pinter Jr., for the benefit of Riley Pinter.
