Ronald L. Bias, 58 of Vermilion, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at his home following a short illness. He was born January 23, 1948 in West Hamlin, WV. He has been a Vermilion resident for the past 30 years, moving from West Virginia. He worked as an assembler for the Ford Motor Company in Lorain, retiring in 1994 after 27 years. He is survived by a 2 sons, Ronald McKeefer-Bias and Randy McKeefer-Bias, both of Vermilion; 1 grandson; a companion, Michelle Maloy of Vermilion; 6 sisters, Velma Woodall of Vermilion, Verna Taylor of Amherst, Wanda Pickett of Vermilion, Wilma "Kay" Ball of Vermilion, Norma Mankin of Vermilion and Connie Taylor of Lorain; 2 brothers, Donald "Don" Bias of Vermilion and Allen Bias of Collins; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn E. (nee Braggs) Bias on February 18, 2006, his father, Albert C. Bias in 1988. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 from 2-4 / 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 11:00am with Nathan Porter and Greg Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
