Rush Williams

April 3, 1945 — March 22, 2011

Rush E. Williams Sr., 65, of Sheffield Lake, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at his residence. He was born April 3, 1945 in Logan County, WV to the late Denny and Ruby (nee Adkins) Williams and had been a Sheffield Lake resident for the past 26 years. Rush worked for Arrow Aluminum Casting Co., Avon Lake, for 39 years. He was a member of the GMP Union, enjoyed mechanics, and working on old cars. He is survived by his son, Rush (Carolyn) Williams Jr. of Sheffield Lake; daughter, Martha Sue Canterbury of Sheffield Lake; step-daughter Christina Little of Englewood, FL; step-son Timothy Williamson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Johnson of Chapmanville, WV, Irene Riffett of Chardon, and Barbara Durkin of Clyde; good friend, Myrtle Rizer of Sheffield Lake. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine (nee Allen) on January 9, 2004, step- son Robert Williamson, brothers, Bill, Donald,Wetzel, and Jack Williams, and sister, Maxine Gartin. The family will receive friends on Friday March 25th, from 6 to 9 P.M. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain OH. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. The Reverend Bill Goodrich will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, Ohio.
