Scott Burton Pierce, 58, of Amherst, died Friday, July 15, 2022, at his home after a sudden illness. He was born July 23, 1963, in Sandusky and had been a Amherst resident for the past 15 years moving from Sheffield Lake. Scott was a veteran of the US Army and worked for Ford Motor Co. Lorain and Avon for 31 years, retiring in 2019. He was a member of the UAW #425 and AMVETS Post #47. He enjoyed fishing, sailing, cars, and reading. He loved his electronics and spending time with his pets. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Marisol (nee Rivera) Pierce of Elyria; step-daughters, Rachel (Jason) Astornio-Davis of North Royalton and Michele Astorino of Elyria; grandson, Jhett Stump; brothers, Robert (Mary) Pierce of Vermilion and Marty Pierce of Vermilion; sisters, Sue Snell of Vermilion, LouAnn Eberle of Vermilion, Lynne Greene of Vermilion, and Denise Pierce of FL; mother in law, Gloria Rodriguez; brother-in-law, Pedro (Elsie) Rivera; sisters-in-law, Laura Rivera of TX and Nancy Kingsboro of Lorain; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rita (nee Burton) Pierce, brother-in-law, John Edward Snell; and his father-in-law, Pedro Rodriguez The family will receive friends on Monday, July 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
