Theresa Marie Tang

Theresa Marie Tang (nee Murray), age 65, of Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on September 23, 2023, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.

She was born oldest of 7 children on May 13, 1958, in Port Clinton, Ohio, and had a diverse and adventurous life, having lived in Norwalk, Ohio, Columbus, Ohio, and Hong Kong, China, before making Sandusky her home in 1985.

Theresa worked at Norstat in Norwalk where she met the Tang family and found fulfillment working at Wendy's in Sandusky.

A devout member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Sandusky, Theresa found solace and community in her faith. Beyond her religious devotion, she had a zest for life that was evident in her love for travel with her loving husband Joseph Tang. She cherished Border Collies, with whom she spent many joyous moments.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Joseph Tang; her sisters, Sheila (Bob) Candow, Sandy (Harold) Zeiter, and Jacqui Smith; her brothers, John Jr. (Wendy) Murray and Michael Murray; sister-in-law, Kim Murray; sister-in-law Connie Tang, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, and nephews who were dear to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John F. Sr. and Clara (nee Chill) Murray; her brother, Scott Murray; her maternal grandparents, August and Viola Chill; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Alice Murray; and several aunts and uncles.

The family will welcome friends on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of a Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH 44089.  Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Theresa will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, New London.
