Walter F. Dembinski

October 9, 1925 — April 13, 2004

Walter F. Dembinski, age 78, of Lorain, died unexpectantly on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at Community Health Partners in Lorain. He was born on October 9, 1925 in Lorain, Ohio, and had been a life-long resident, graduating from Lorain High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Europe and Japan and received the Bronze Star. He retired from working in the maintenance group of Ohio Edison and had formerly worked as a machinist for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. He was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Lorain. He enjoyed gardening and reading and had an interest in railroads. Survivors include a son, Dale Dembinski of Lorain, OH; 2 grandchildren; sister, Verna Wysocki of Elyria, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife, Dorothy M. Dembinski on April 4, 2001, parents, Walter and Mary Dembinski, two brothers, Harry and Henry and two sisters, Helen and Pauline. Friends may call Thursday, April 15, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00am on Friday, April 16, 2004, with the Reverend Mr. Robert Dybo officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Military Honors will be presented by the VFW Mullen-Murray Post 451 Lorain.
