William " Wild Bill" J. Wilson, 61, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Cleveland Clinic Foundation after a sudden illness. He was born July 16, 1957 and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 33 years moving from Berlin Heights. Bill worked as a heavy equipment operator for Local #18 Operating Union for 25 years retiring in 2017. He was a member of BSA Ohio Owners Club and was a huge British Motorcycle enthusiast. Bill enjoyed going to swap meets and listening to music. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cynthia (nee Bartlett) Wilson of Vermilion; sons, William J (Lindsey) Wilson of Wakeman, Patrick Wilson of Vermilion, and Doug Wilson of Vermilion; grandchildren: Lilah, Kodah, and Bentley; brother, Scott Wilson of Vermilion; his sisters, Janet (David) Williams of Vermilion and Julie Ebel of Vermilion and niece, Dalaina Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, William J and Barbara (nee Leitch) Wilson. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Monday, July 8, 219 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. Online condolences may be made at www.riddlefuneralhome.com.
