Adam Luke Sartor

June 8, 1984 — April 2, 2010

Adam Luke Sartor, 25, of Berlin Heights passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 8, 1984 in Wooster, Ohio he moved to Berlin Heights in 1991. He was an Eagle Scout, active in music, and was a member of the Edison High School Marching Band. He served in the United States Navy from 2004-2007. He attended the University of Toledo and the Culinary Hospitality Institute of Chicago and became a chef for Mercat a la Planxa Restaurant, Chicago. He had also worked at Ponderosa, Vermilion. . He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and enjoyed swimming, running, golf, frisbee golf and hiking. He is survived by his parents, Michael Joseph and Debra L. (nee Wikel) of Berlin Heights; brother, Eric Michael Sartor, Englewood, Colorado; several aunts and uncles and his maternal grandparents, Rodger and Jean Wikel of Huron. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dell J. and Mary Sartor. Friends may call Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church, 591 Ferndale Avenue, Vermilion. The Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military graveside services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Online condolences may be made at www.riddlefuneralhome.com.
