Agnes Rose Kishman

Agnes Rose Kishman (nee Schmitz), 91, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Agnes was born November 1, 1920 in Amherst, and had been a Vermilion Township resident since 1948. . She was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard serving during World War II. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed Big Band music and dancing. She was an excellent tennis player and liked to cook and garden. She is survived by her son, David (Candy) Kishman of Vermilion; daughters, Elizabeth Kishman of Oak Harbor and Margaret Kishman of Williston, OH; granddaughter, Heather Kishman of Bakersfield, CA, Catherine (Mark) Reimer of Palo Alto, CA, Jessica Kishman of Vermilion, and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Elizabeth (nee Bischoff) Schmitz, husband, Donald J. Kishman; son, Donald V. Kishman, sisters, Dorothy, Cecilia and Florence and brothers, Arthur, Henry, Elmer, Walt and Al. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, Ohio 44089. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. The family suggests memorial contributions to Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main St, P.O. Box 187, Williston, OH 43468.
