Agnes Therese Sadowski

Agnes Therese Sadowski (nee Labiszewski ), 88, of Lorain, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Main Street Care Center, Avon Lake, OH where she had been a resident for the past 3 years. Agnes was born March 19, 1924 in Lorain, OH to the late Leon and Bertha (nee Sobocinski) Labiszewski and had been a lifelong Lorain resident . Earlier in life Agnes worked as a secretary for American Stove Co., and later at Higbee's retiring from there in 1992. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, and the Avon Lake Computer Club. She enjoyed quilting, and playing bridge. She is survived by daughters Susan (Victor) Trzeciak of Avon Lake, OH, Kathy Hutchins of Greenville, SC; son Philip (Denise) Sadowski of Kansas City, KS; sister Angeline Dubena of Elyria; 6 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alphonse Sadowski June 28, 1987; brothers Stanley Labis, Frank Labis, and infant brother Louis Labiszewski; sisters Josephine Majesky, Marcella Mattey, and Francis Labiszewski. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 16th from 5-8 P.M. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Prayers will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 418 W. 15th St., Lorain.The Reverend Fr.
