Alexander Kish

Alexander Louis "Al" Kish, 73, of Lorain, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain. Alexander was born May 26, 1940 in Lorain, and had been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Lorain High School Class of 1959-A. Alexander worked for U.S. Steel- RTI as an Inspector for 32 years retiring in 2000. He was a lifelong member of the Hungarian Reformed U.C.C. where in the past he had served on the Consistory. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union #1104, past member of the Lorain Emergency Police, and Past President of the Styler's Hot Rod Car Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, travel, and dancing. Spending time with family was his greatest joy. He was the life of the party, generous to a fault, but his family always came first. 　 On September 1, 1962 he married his high school sweetheart and wife of nearly 51 years Alice (nee Mrazik), and she survives. Also surviving are daughters, Lisa (Jack) Keene of Amherst, and Christine (John) Sklarek of Vermilion; grandchildren, Jessica Sklarek, Nicholas Sklarek, Alexandra Keene, and Lauren Keene; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by parents Alex and Mary (nee Rupcic) Kish, and sister, Norma Cambarare. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 20th from 3-8 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Peter Toth officiating.
