Alice E. Barry (née Schmidt), 94, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at her son's home following a sudden illness.
Born on November 14, 1929, in Vermilion, Alice spent the majority of her life in Vermilion, the community she loved.

Above all, Alice cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Alice is survived by her son, Noel (Kandy) Barry of Oregon; her grandchildren, Donavon, Kyle (Melissa), Brandon, Hannah, Sara, Evan, and Daniel; her great-grandson, Arcadian; and her daughters-in-law, Christine and Madonna. She also leaves behind her brother, Wayne (Marilyn) Schmidt of Wakeman, and her sisters, Carol L. (Ron) Baaske of Vermilion and Nancy (Dave) Gastin of Shelby.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Lewis Barry; her sons, Steven L. and Ronald G. Barry; her parents, Emil and Francis (née Lipps) Schmidt; and her brothers, Edward and Gerald Schmidt.
