Alice Anne Seidel

Alice Anne Seidel (nee Patterson), 77, of Vermilion, died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a brief illness. Anne was born April 29, 1938 in Oakville Canada where she spent her youth. She had been a Vermilion resident for the past 35 years moving from Elyria. Anne had worked in retail for Evangeline Shops, Toronto, Canada, JC Penny, Elyria and Ted Jacobs, Lorain. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermilion where she was an active volunteer, especially with Grace's Kitchen. She was also a member of the Vermilion Boat Club, and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling, boating and reading. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Brown of Toronto; sons, Richard (Laurie) Brown of Newmarket, Ontario, Gregory (Michelle) Brown of Dallas, TX, and James (Iliana) Brown of Fort Worth, TX; step sons, Mark (Ana) Seidel of Avon Lake and Steven (Kathy) Seidel of Corpus Christi, TX; step daughters, Sandra (Mike) Dyas of Columbus and Krysann (Bill) Dunbar of Napoleon; sister, Lynette Fobert of Vancouver, B.C.; and 15 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Seidel in 2004; parents, Thomas and Gladys (nee Fitzsimmons) Patterson; and her brother, Tim Patterson. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3747 Liberty Ave., Vermilion, OH. The Reverend Rich Leseganich will officiate. Private inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
