Amos Edward Feiszli, 98 of Vermilion, died Sunday, September 20, 2009 in Kingston of Vermilion after a short illness. He was born September 24, 1910 in Axtel, Ohio and has been a life long Vermilion resident. He worked at Wakefield Brass also known as Lithonia Down Lighting as a tool and die maker for 47 1/2 years and retired in 1974. He was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church where he was involved with the Church Men United in Fellowship. He was a former member of the Axtel Methodist Church. Amos had been very active with the Boy Scouts including the Order Of The Arrow. He belonged to the Vermilion Fish & Game where he enjoyed trap shooting. He was active with the Vermilion Meals on Wheels program. When the Liberty Theater 12 was open, he helped with the motion production. He enjoyed making and giving homemade walnut trivets. Amos and Doris had volunteered as record keepers for the Maple Grove and Brownhelm Cemeteries. Survivors include his sons, Edward (Dori) Feiszli of Oakland, NJ and Glenn (Barbara) Feiszli of Vermilion; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; Preceding him in death were his wife, Doris M. (nee Zimmerman) Feiszli in 1998; parents, John and Grace (nee Blair) Feiszli; sisters, Norma Snyder and Grace Roberts; and brothers, George and Clarence Feiszli. Friends may call Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 5-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Ohio and Grand Streets, Vermilion. at 11 am. The Reverend Nick Cacciatore will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
