Ann Gall, 95 of Lorain, died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the Brotman Medical Center in Culver City, California following a lenghty illness. She was born July 28, 1911 in Lorain and has been a lifetime resident, until moving to California to live with her daughter in April of this year. During WWII, she was chosen for the Air Defense Command as a Cheif Observer, watching the skies above Lorain for enemy aircraft. She also worked as a manager for the Standard Oil Gas Station in Lorain for many years. She was a member St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. She was an avid bowler at Rebman's in Lorain, bowling in several leagues and winning many championships. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening. She is servived by a daughter, Mariann Leonard of Culver City, CA; step-son, Edward Gall of Parma Heights; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; several neices and nephews. She was preceded-in-death by her 1st husband, John Karish, her 2nd husband, George Gall, son, Robert Karish, Sr., brothers, John, Walter, Frank and Joseph Swidecki and sisters, Bertha Crush and Viola Warren. Friends may call Saturday, July 14, 2007 from 11:00 -12:00 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Graveside services will be at 12:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery, North Ridge Road, Lorain. The Reverend Daniel O. Divis, pastor of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, will officiate.
