Ann Sipos

Ann Sipos, age 87, died peacefully in Trenton, Michigan on October 18, 2008 following a long illness. Ann was born the daughter of the late John and Barbara Sipos. Beloved sister of the late Mary Vinarcsik, Julia Kertez, Elizabeth Sharick, and John Sipos, she lived the majority of her life in Lorain, Ohio. Ann worked as a dental assistant and hygienist for the late Dr. R.G. Wells and Dr. Ronald Reber. She was well recognized as the receptionist and switchboard operator for Lorain Products retiring from there in 1986. Always an active person Ann enjoyed marching with her drill team, bowling, working for St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, sewing, gardening, and cooking for others. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2008 from 3-5 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, where a Parastas service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home until the Panachida service at 9:30 a.m.. The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th St., Lorain. The Very Reverend Nicholas Rachford, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Memorial contributions in Ann's name may be made to St. Nicholas' Byzantine Church.
