Anna Mae Baumbaugh

Anna Mae Baumbaugh (nee VanThorne) 98, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Heritage Springs of West Chester.  Born April 17, 1912, in Sandusky she had been a West Chester (north of Cincinnati) resident for the past five years. Anna Mae grew up in Vermilion; her father's farm is now Beulah Beach.  She graduated from Vermilion High School in 1930 and attended many class reunions. She was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Lorain Lion's Club Ladies Auxiliary. She also had been active in the Lorain Church of the Redeemer. Survivors include her son, Harrison Baumbaugh, Jr.; 3 granddaughters, Christine Neitzke, Mason, Susanne Corson, Mason, and Carolyn Chace, Bellevue, Washington; 6 great grandchildren, Samuel and Matthew Neitzke, Jacob and Luke Corson, and Julian and Melody Mae Chace. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Cora Dina (nee Schellhouse) VanThorne, her husband, Harrison Baumbaugh, Sr.; brother, Frank Nolte; and a sister, Alma Lombardo.[Soft Break]Friends may call Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion, Ohio from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend Nick Cacciatore will officiate.
