Anna N. Campana (nee DiNicola), 85, of Amherst, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Anna was born May 25, 1926 in Erie, PA and had lived in Sheffield Village from 1963-2005 moving from Lorain where she grew up. She attended Lorain High School and was employed by the Kresge Store and Lorain Printing Co. She was a member of St. Teresa Church, Sheffield Village, and the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Lorain. She was a member of the Lorain Senior Center. She loved spending time with all of her family, enjoyed baking, bead making, playing cards and traveling. She is survived by 2 sons, Ray (Claudette) Campana, Lorain, and Fred (Sue) Campana, Sheffield Lake; 2 daughters, Nancy Campana of Amherst with whom she made her home and who was her caretaker and Frances Campana of Amherst; grandchildren, Nicole (Ken) Potchatek, Megan Campana, Kimberly (Rhett) Ringenberger, Michael (companion, Molly Conricote) Campana, Benjamin (Carrie) Campana, Alex Campana, and Kevin Campana; sisters, Bea Zanni and Dolores Nemeth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Campana, 1986 and her parents, Fred and Molly (nee Dulio) DiNicola. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 from 5-8 p.m.at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 at 9 a.m. followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Ohio. Father Eric Orzech will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44053.
