Anna Reid

Anna Reid (nee Mahkovic), age 85, of Lorain, died Saturday, April 16, 2005 in Lorain following a short illness. She was born on July 14, 1919 in Claridge, PA and has lived in Lorain since 1952. In her early years, she was proud to have worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and later worked until retirement for the Bazley's Meat Market in Lorain. She is survived by a daughter, Francine (nee Seda) Petroskey of Lorain; sister, Rose Rudy of Amherst; and a brother, Joseph Mahkovic of Wegly, PA; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Harry H. Reid, daughter, Mary (Reid) Price, parents, Anton and Mary (nee Zalacher) Mahkovic, brothers, Frank, John and Tony Mahkovic and a sister, Mary Zabaty. Friends may call Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio, from 9:30am until the time of services at 10:30am. The Reverend Charles Henkle, O.F.M. Conv., associate pastor of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
