Anna D. Simsic

Anna D. Simsic (nee Kielar), 95 of Lorain, died Monday, March 14, 2005 in Community Health Partners West. She was born April 26, 1909 in New Castle, Pa., and had lived most of her life in Lorain. She worked in housekeeping at Admiral King High School and retired after 10 years of service. She was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Lorain. She enjoyed cooking Polish food and crocheting. Survivors include her two daughters, Joan Joseph of Elyria and Regina Stowe of Lorain; a son, Paul Simsic of Norcross, GA; 12 grandchildren; and, 16 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Louis Simsic in 1996; parents, Michael and Frances (nee Smialowski) Kielar; brothers Louis, Andrew and Edward Kielar; and sisters Bertha Krajeski, Sister Amanda Kielar, and Mary Zombek. Friends may call Wednesday, March 16, 2005 from 5-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 10 am on Thursday, March 17, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain, Ohio. The Reverend Robert Glepko, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
