Anna Rae Taylor

Anna Rae Taylor (nee McCoy), 82, of Vermilion, died Monday, March 28, 2016 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a brief illness. Anna was born August 29, 1933 in Pike County, KY, and had been a Vermilion resident fro the past 60 years. Anna was a homemaker and had also worked at Mill Manor as a nurses aide for 10 years. She enjoyed video games, gardening, animals and watching wrestling on television. She was especially proud of her McCoy heritage. She is survived by her daughters, Shannon (Steve) Grimm of Dublin, OH, and Sharon (Larry) Cooper of Amherst; sons Michael (Lisa) Taylor, and Timothy (Margaret) Taylor of Amherst; grandchildren Michael, Kelly, Kathy, Renee, Jennifer, Timmy, Amber, and Ashley; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Bobby Ratliff of Pikeville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulice Thomas Taylor who died on Dec 28, 1998; parents, Okie and Tillie (nee Adams) McCoy; sisters, Edna (Victor) Pinson, Ledna Mae (Charles) Ratliff, and Janice Ratliff. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2016, from 6pm - 8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Riddle Funeral Home. The Reverend Mike Sartor will officiate. Interment will follow at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion. Contributions in Anna's memory may be made to the donors local ASPCA.
