Anna Wood

Anna L. Wood (nee Taylor), 85, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born June 19, 1936 in Charleston, WV and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 54 years. Anna worked for Oak Hills Nursing home for 7 years and Germans Villa in the catering department for 16 years. She attended Church of the God of Prophecy in Vermilion. She enjoyed reading and watching Western films. She is survived by her sons, David (Haley) Wood of New Haven and William (Mindy) Wood of Vermilion, daughter, Brenda (Thomas Lavolpe) Wood of Lorain;12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Edgar Taylor, Jr of Fayetteville, WV; brother in law, Paul Cody of Amherst; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wood in 2008; parents, Edgar and Mary (nee Tincher) Taylor; and her siblings. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 14, 2022, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Riddle Funeral Home. The Reverend Cody and Reverend Newberry will officiate. Interment will follow at Rugby Cemetery, Vermilion.
