Annette Marie Holland (née Hoff), age 58, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born January 5, 1967, in Lorain, Ohio, Annette was a longtime resident of both Mansfield and Norwalk. She dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Gaymont Care Center in Norwalk, where her compassion and kindness touched the lives of countless residents and coworkers.
Annette had a deep love for animals, especially cats. She was known for looking after neighborhood strays, always making sure they were fed, warm, and loved. Her home was never without a furry companion or two, and she found great joy and comfort in their presence. Her gentle spirit and nurturing heart extended to every creature she encountered.
She is survived by her father, Ross Hoff of Vermilion; mother, Suzan (née Smith) Hoff of Norwalk ; her children, Steven Scott Holland Jr. of Mansfield, Heather (Samuel Richburgh) Holland of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Joseph (Alexandria) Holland of Mansfield; and her nephew, Preston Burke of Norwalk, whom she lovingly raised. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kayleigh, Dylan, Krya, Mariya, Selecia, Samuel Jr., Kadari, Alexander, Adrienne, and Madilyn; great-grandchildren Hadlee and Ashton; her brother, Tony Hoff of Vermilion and sisters, Susan Southwell of Livonia, MI, Brenda Burke of Norwalk, and Pamela Sapp of Norwalk.
Annette was preceded in death by her brother, Ross Hoff, and her brother-in-law, Robert Southwell.
Private services will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Ohio Division, Inc., 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106.
