Annie Davis

March 21, 1930 — January 17, 2005

Annie "Lillian" Davis (nee Smith), age 74, of Vermilion, died Monday, January 17, 2005 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph after a short illness. She was born on March 21, 1930 in McCool, MS. She has been a Vermilion resident since 1959 moving from Memphis, TN. She was a member of the Eversprings Missionary Baptist Church in Amherst. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed embroidery, gardening and cooking, as well as canning. She enjoyed reading her bible and visiting with her friends. She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Appeman and Sherri (Bruce) Click, both of Vermilion, 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and an aunt and uncle, Buddy & Snooks Blain of Clarksdale, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Davis in 1997; sons Robert Davis in 2003 and John Davis in 1968; and her parents, John and Idell Smith. Friends may call Thursday, January 20, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Friday, January 21, 2005, at 11 am with The Reverend Howard Crabtree officiating. Interment will follow in Rugby Cemetery, Vermilion.
