Annie Brown Freeman, 90 of Vermilion, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain. She was born May 3, 1918 in Hickman, Tennessee and had lived in Vermilion since 1958, moving from Memphis, Tennessee. She was a homemaker to her husband and children and attended Birmingham United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Stars in Memphis, TN, the Vermilion Golden Agers, Amvets Post 22 Ladies Auxillary, the 60+ Club and SOS (Save Our Seniors). She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and going out to dinner. She is survived by a daughter, Pat Masten of Vermilion; son, Bobby Freeman of Norwalk; 9 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mozelle Shapard of Obion, TN, Bernice Morris of Lawrenceburg, TN and Christine Hunter of Sheffield Village. She was preceded-in-death by her husband, Kenneth "M.K." Freeman, parents, Bollin Waters Puckett and Myrte (nee Clymer) Puckett, brother, Junior Puckett and a granddaughter. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, where services will be on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 11:00 am. The Reverend Dick Kretchmar, pastor of Birmingham United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
