Arlean E. Boring, (nee Schaar), 84, of Vermilion, died Friday, December 17, 2004 in Community Health Partners West. She was born April 20, 1920, in Akron Ohio. She had worked as a secretary for Babcock, Wilcox Boilermakers, Barberton for 9 years. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church and was associated with the Church in Sandusky, with her husband, the former pastor. She was former vice president and in charge of book sales for Winning Women, a Christian organization out of Michigan. She participated in retreats, Bible studies, and was secretary for the Women's Prayer Band for 9 years. She enjoyed needlework and poodles. Survivors include her son, Keith Robert Boring, Columbiaville, Michigan and a brother, Mervin Schaar, Akron. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Mazie (nee Campbell) Schaar and her husband, Chalmers, June 5, 2001. Friends may call Monday 2-6 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend John C. Nevius, will officiate. Private burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Great Commission Fund Christian Missionary Alliance, P.O. Box 35000, Colorado Springs, CO 80935-3500.
