Arline G Henline

Arline G. Henline (nee New), 88, of Vermilion, died Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.

She was born November 4, 1934 in Hagerman, NM and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 69 years.

Arline was a member of First Baptist Church,Vermilion.  She enjoyed canning, baking, embroidery, crocheting, and cooking with the vegetables from her husband's garden.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Carl B. Henline of Vermilion; sons, Dan (Cathy) Henline of Vermilion and Kenneth (Molly Blank) Henline of Avon; daughter, Sharon Kay (Larry) Battista of FL; grandchildren, Christina, Ashley, Lorenzo, Bianca, Erica, and Charlize; and her sister, Cathy (Carl) Gentry of Weatherford, TX.

She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Henline in 2020; parents, William and Margaret (nee Peters) New; sisters, Eloise Bolander and Jean Huckabee; brother, Raymond New; and her half brother, Melvin Shaw.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.  Pastor Shawn Salada will officiate.  Inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion at a later date.
