Arnette A Sadowski passed away Feb. 27, 2018 on her 78th birthday surrounded by family and friends at Main Street Care Center, Avon Lake after a brief illness. She was born in Lorain on Feb.27, 1940 to Eva and John Sadowski. Her loving mother raised her in their home on West 9th Street. Arnette graduated from St .Mary's in 1958 and then graduated as a registered nurse from St. Alexis in 1961. She worked as a RN in New Orleans, Lorain, and San Francisco. She retired early to return to her childhood home to care for her mother. She loved the Cleveland Indians and S.F.Giants baseball, watching The Bold and The Beautiful, traveling, and going to casinos. She volunteered cleaning St. Mary's Church until her health no longer permitted. She collected many things that she treasured over the years, but most importantly she was a wonderful friend to many. She is survived by her "family", cousin Don Dombrosky, his wife Jean of Amherst, who cared for her these past months, their daughters Nora (Jayson) Carroll, Lisa (Josh) Neely and Joey and Ada. She is also survived by cousin, Dave Dombrosky of King, N.C, his wife, Diane, and their children Joshua, Emily and Jacob and half brother, Dennis Sadowski of Avon and half sister, Denise Leist of Cincinnati, and most importantly her friends that enriched her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eva (nee Knotavich) and John Sadowski. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 9:00 am until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St Mary Catholic Church, 7th Street and Reid Ave., Lorain. Father Daniel Divis will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst.
