Arnold F. Springborn

Arnold F. Springborn, age 86, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 5, 2015 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph. Arnold was born October 2, 1929 in Cleveland, and had been a lifelong area resident. He was an assembler and a machine operator for Lithonia Lighting retiring in 1994. Arnold enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching sports on television. He was a Cleveland Indians fan and had also coached little league baseball. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Thomas A. (Marilyn) Springborn of Lagrange, Kathy Springborn of Amherst, Steve (fiance' Eileen) Springborn of Vermilion, Randy Springborn of Lorain, and Caryl Eckenfels of West Salem, OH; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Emma (nee Beck) Springborn. There will be no services or visitation.
